JP Discos cater events with guestlists ranging from 25 to 250 people.

Our DJ's, Mobile Disco DJ's and Mobile Karaoke Show presenters are professional, smartly dressed and articulate. Most importantly, JP Discos DJ's are very helpful and friendly. You set the volume level, your music requests are always played.

Music:
Music from the late 1950's to current chart. All styles/genres available.
If a tune is available, we can get it.

Sound System:
We use ElectroVoice full range sound systems (excellent clear sound).

Lightshow:

About John Patrick:

My name is John Patrick, DJ and owner of JP Discos. I first worked as a DJ in Cardiff way back in 1982, fast forward to today.........  still in business. Over 25 years as a full time professional DJ, I still have the enthusiasm and drive for the business today as I did all those years ago.      

History:

1982:
Local venues in and around the Cardiff area. The early years, bookings consisted of family and friends birthday parties, school and youth club discos and Glyn Derw High School P.T.A. events. One wedding and one engagement party.

1983:
I signed up with an agent, within a few months I was working 4 nights a week. I found myself working all over South Wales. Venues included pubs, hotels, workingmens clubs, night clubs, VIP bookings, private houses etc.
In 1987, I fronted the Harpbeat (Harp Lager) Roadshow as compere and DJ. The roadshow ran until 1990. It was during this time that I truly learned DJ presentation skills.

1990:
I auditioned for the Roxy (Porthcawl). I got the job. It was an exciting time, the Roxy opened it's doors at Easter. The venue was brand new. On the back of my season at the Roxy, I was offered the job of DJ and compere for the Quayside (Porthcawl). 1991 - 1993, three seasons at the Quayside Cabaret and Disco venue.
                                                                                                                                                       1994:
From this point, I returned to the usual bookings in hotels, pubs, clubs and the function DJ circuit. I also introduced Karaoke to the business as an optional extra.

2001:
In May 2001, I started to work as a personality DJ for the bars & disco section of Megabowl (South Wales) Sept - June. In July and August I would DJ at summer wedding functions, private parties and BBQ's etc.   
Newport and Cardiff Megabowl ceased trading in 2008. 

2010: 

JP Discos consists of myself and two other experienced DJ's working the South Wales DJ/Mobile Disco and Karaoke circuit. JP Discos currently average 8 bookings a week, providing our clients with DJ Excellence Everytime.
